March 2009

Hi, all. Much news to report since my last update. I’ve been busy writing and with deadlines and new projects.

The Lady and the LibertineFirst, THE LADY AND THE LIBERTINE, my seventh Egyptian historical from Dorchester, is out March 31! This book received four stars from RT magazine, and four and a half clovers from C2K Kwips and Kritiques.

In this book, a displaced English earl seduces a virginal beauty in order to steal the pharaoh’s treasure she guards in Egypt. I pitted Nigel, a thief, liar and libertine, who was cheated out of his birthright as earl, against Anne/Karida, who has sworn to be upright and moral. Karida was born in England and taken to live with my Khamsin warriors of the wind in Egypt. They entrusted her with a ruby that unlocks the key to a fabulous treasure buried in the sands.

Midnight CravingsI loosely based the pharaoh’s treasure tomb on the Valley of the Golden Mummies in the Bahariya Oasis, four tombs of about 105 mummies excavated by Dr. Zahi Hawass.

Also, I have a Nocturne Bite titled BROKEN SOULS out in the April anthology, MIDNIGHT CRAVINGS.

Coming up later this year:

IMMORTAL WOLF, my next full-length Nocturne, is out this October. It features Raphael, the Cajun, Harley biker werewolf from ENEMY LOVER. The Draicon’s executioner is sent to ritually sacrifice a female Draicon who can kill with a single touch, but discovers she is his destined mate.

UNWRAPPED in the Nocturne anthology, HOLIDAY WITH A VAMPIRE III this December. UNWRAPPED features a vampire who is given a doll by gremlin carolers as a gift, a doll that shifts into the werewolf he secretly loves.

Upcoming projects I’m on deadline for include two more Bites for Nocturne and another Nocturne I’m temporarily calling THE SHADOW WOLF, which will be Gabriel’s story from ENEMY LOVER.

The Tiger and the TombIn foreign release news, THE TIGER AND THE TOMB, is now out in Japanese, my second Japanese release. Also, THE PANTHER AND THE PYRAMID, is now out in German.

In booksigning news, I will be signing at the annual Romance Writers of America conference this July in Washington, D.C. and I may be signing at RT in Orlando in April.  No other events have been scheduled at this time.

Happy Reading!
